Dear All Thai-American Physicians:

This year, TAPF held the 7th second-generation Thai-American physicians annual meeting in Las Vegas, Nevada on June 23-25, 2017. The topics were on Residency Matching Workshop, Career Development, and Research Presentation for young physicians and medical students. There were several young Thai physicians from Thailand attended the meeting with great enthusiasm. The information from the meeting should help them in the preparation for the up-coming residency matching. The next year session may be in Las Vegas again on June 22-24, 2018. In May 2017, TAPF held the scientific and US residency training opportunity workshop in Thailand in conjunction with the Thai Royal College of Medicine. We had opportunity to meet more young Thai physicians from various institutions.

Financial Report: At the present time, we have a total of $870,235.65 in the foundations’ account. The endowment funds are $824,625.36. Please see the exhibition for details. All fund principal is in very safe, low-risk investments.

Board of directors meeting: The annual Board meeting will be held in Las Vegas in June 2018 during the second-generation meeting. You are invited to Las Vegas, the entertainment capital of the world. Play golf and go to see fabulous shows. If you seek state tax-free retirement living, there are plenty of inexpensive houses and condominium. Currently, there are more than fifty Thai-American physician families retired in the city.

To close, all TAPF officers would like to express our sincere thanks to all Thai-American physicians who have supported and share the vision of our foundation. We all mourned our beloved King’s funeral this year and will continue to work hard following his majesty father, Prince Mahidol’s footsteps to improve Thai medical education. TAPF would like to wish you and your family happiness and good health throughout the year.
